Yiqing Yao received his PhD in bioenergy from Key Laboratory of Cell Activities and Stress Adaptations, Ministry of Education, Lanzhou University, China. His PhD research was mainly focused on converting biomass to biofuels by anaerobic fermentation (liquid-state and solid-state), analysis of intermediate metabolite, pretreatment of lignocellulosic materials and analysis of the structure and component of lignocellulose.He is currently research associate in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, Washington State University.
