Yining Zeng is a staff scientist at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). He earned his B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Peking University, and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry/Nanotechnology from UT Austin. He has explored his interests in material synthesis, analysis and characterization, electronics and optics, spectroscopy and microscopy. His recent research at NREL focus on understanding, processingand developing materials for improved renewable energy/chemical production. Some of the characterization toolsinclude Single-Molecule Spectroscopy (SMS), high-resolution imaging, fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering(CARS) imaging, stimulated Raman scattering(SRS) imaging and AFM, etc.As an author of journal articles publishedon Science, PNAS, Angewandte Chemie, JACS, EES, etc., he has also served as reviewer for journals and grants.
